Prepare the Connection Where You Actually Watch

Begin at the television or device you plan to use, rather than assuming a connection elsewhere represents it.

Test in the right room

A phone beside the router and a television several rooms away are different test locations. Note where your viewing device sits and whether it uses Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Check ordinary internet access on that device before interpreting a playback problem as a service issue. Keep the test close to everyday use.

Make one fair comparison

If the device supports Ethernet and a cable is practical, compare it with your normal Wi-Fi connection. Keep the same player and screen during the comparison. A changed result is useful evidence; it does not prove that every interruption has one cause or that a particular connection will always perform identically.

Include normal household activity

Large downloads, backups and other streams may coincide with your viewing time. Note what else is active and compare a quieter period if possible. A speed result is one measurement, not a diagnosis of account errors, app failures or connection limits. Record the symptom alongside the result.

Give support a short record

Include the device, room, connection type, time, other activity and what changed during the test. Avoid sending router passwords or private account URLs. Pair these notes with the playback checklist, or send a concise description through IPTV G2G support.
